Associations of Particulate Matter Sizes and Chemical Constituents with Blood Lipids: A Panel Study in Guangzhou, China

چکیده
Existing evidence is scarce concerning the various effects of different PM sizes and chemical constituents on blood lipids. A panel study that involved 88 healthy college students with five repeated measurements (440 samples in total) was performed. We measured mass concentrations particulate matter diameters ≤ 2.5 μm (PM2.5), ≤1.0 (PM1.0), ≤0.5 (PM0.5) as well number 0.2 (PN0.2) ≤0.1 (PN0.1). applied linear mixed-effect models to assess associations between short-term exposure size fractions PM2.5 seven lipid metrics. found significant greater within 5 days before collection lower high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) apolipoprotein (ApoA1) levels, higher B (ApoB) ApoA1/ApoB ratios. Among constituents, we observed tin lead were significantly associated decreased HDL-C nickel levels. Our results suggest deleteriously Some especially metals, might be major contributors detrimental effects.

Characterization of Fine Particulate Matter and Associations between Particulate Chemical Constituents and Mortality in Seoul, Korea
BACKGROUND Numerous studies have linked fine particles [≤ 2.5 µm in aerodynamic diameter (PM(2.5))] and health. Most studies focused on the total mass of the particles, although the chemical composition of the particles varies substantially. Which chemical components of fine particles that are the most harmful is not well understood, and research on the chemical composition of PM(2.5) and the c...
متن کاملa contrastive study of rhetorical functions of citation in iranian and international elt scopus journals
writing an academic article requires the researchers to provide support for their works by learning how to cite the works of others. various studies regarding the analysis of citation in m.a theses have been done, while little work has been done on comparison of citations among elt scopus journal articles, and so the dearth of research in this area demands for further investigation into citatio...
The Temporal Lag Structure of Short-term Associations of Fine Particulate Matter Chemical Constituents and Cardiovascular and Respiratory Hospitalizations
BACKGROUND In air pollution time-series studies, the temporal pattern of the association of fine particulate matter (PM2.5; particulate matter ≤ 2.5 µm in aerodynamic diameter) and health end points has been observed to vary by disease category. The lag pattern of PM2.5 chemical constituents has not been well investigated, largely because daily data have not been available. OBJECTIVES We expl...
